Dr. Abdallah D Manasrah

Are a full Professor of Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at the University of Calgary and an internationally recognized leader in nanoparticle-based technologies for energy and environmental applications, with over 220 peer-reviewed publications and thousands of citations. His work spans advanced nanoparticle-enabled solutions for wastewater treatment, oil quality enhancement, reduction of gaseous emissions, natural-gas transport optimization, and sustainable conversion of heavy hydrocarbon wastes. As co-developer of the innovative “oxy-cracking” process for converting residual hydrocarbons into valuable chemicals and as a leading figure in research on nanoparticle-assisted oil-recovery, catalysis, adsorption, and environmental remediation, Dr. Nassar adds substantial technical depth, proven research productivity, and a track record of translating science into scalable solutions making him a powerful anchor for any investment in clean-energy or waste-valorization ventures.
Is a chemical and petroleum engineer (BSc, MSc, PhD) with extensive research and industrial experience in nanomaterials, reaction engineering, and clean-tech processing. Through his work at the University of Calgary , he co-developed and commercialized a patented oxy-cracking technology capable of converting heavy hydrocarbon waste such as petroleum coke, low-rank coal, and refinery residue into valuable products including humic and fulvic acids, clean fuels, specialty chemicals, and carbon nanomaterials. As CEO and Co-Founder of Carbon OxyTech Inc., Dr. Manasrah leads the transition of this innovation from proven scientific research into scalable commercial production. Our Technology
At Carbon OxyTech, we use a proprietary green conversion process to transform carbonbased materials, such as peat, coal, raw wood, and organic-rich soils, into high-quality humic substances. In partnership with Olds College of Agriculture & Technology, a leading agricultural research institution in Alberta, SoilFuel Plus™ Solution was evaluated through field trials on three key crops: canola, wheat, and barley.
